Justin Timberlake has revealed plans for a global tour in support of his forthcoming album, Everything I Thought It Was, set to launch on March 15, 2024, under RCA Records.

The announcement took place during his appearance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon on January 26, 2024. Timberlake, there to promote the album and its lead single Selfish, released on January 25, 2024, casually shared the news of the Forget Tomorrow World Tour.

The Forget Tomorrow World Tour kicks off on April 29 in Vancouver, Canada, with subsequent stops in cities including Seattle, Phoenix, Fort Worth, Raleigh, and Miami. Tickets for the tour will be available starting February 2. Stay tuned for additional information on international dates and venues, yet to be disclosed.

Justin Timberlake Is Gaining Momentum For His Forthcoming Album

Justin Timberlake is set to drop his sixth album, Everything I Thought It Was, in March. This marks a six-year gap since his last full-length project, 2018’s Man of the Woods, which claimed the top spot on the Billboard 200 chart that year.

During his conversation with Fallon, Timberlake shared that he dedicated four years to crafting the album, generating a pool of 100 songs, eventually narrowing it down to 18. The former NSYNC member introduced the album through a trailer on his YouTube channel on January 19, 2024, featuring narration by actor Benicio Del Toro.

Timberlake highlighted the unique approach to this album, stating, “Making this album is different from any other one. Different from making albums before because I would just go in for a block of time, and say this is what we made and this is what it is.”

After this revelation, the debut single from the album, titled “Selfish,” emerged. The 4-minute ballad, penned by Louis Bell, Henry Walter, Theron Makiel Thomas, and Amy Allen, was complemented by a music video directed by Bradley Calder. The video premiered on Timberlake’s YouTube channel on January 25, 2024.

The single “Selfish” suggests a nostalgic nod to Justin Timberlake’s earlier musical style, offering a glimpse into the anticipated vibe of the upcoming album.

The anticipation for Justin Timberlake’s upcoming album has soared, particularly with the revelation from long-time collaborator Timbaland. In a 2023 interview with Variety, the producer disclosed their joint efforts on new material, rekindling the sound reminiscent of Timberlake’s highly successful 2006 album, FutureSex/LoveSounds.

Timbaland expressed, “We just finished up and everything sounds great. Now it’s really on him how and when he envisions it to come out, but it’s done and it’s coming. It’s fun Justin, it’s like FutureSex/LoveSounds but nothing too heavy, just giving you what you expect from us.

Exciting news for fans! More details about Justin Timberlake’s new album and tour are expected this weekend as he takes the stage as a musical guest on Saturday Night Live.

Although Justin Timberlake’s solo career took a hiatus until these recent revelations, the 10-time Grammy Award winner reunited with his boy band NSYNC in September 2023. They collaborated to release “Better Place” for Timberlake’s animated movie, Trolls Band Together. This disco-pop track marked the band’s first song together in over two decades.
