Oh My Girl’s Seunghee is set to make her mark in the upcoming tvN drama “Jeong Nyeon” (romanized title), marking her second venture into the world of television, as confirmed by her agency, WM Entertainment, on February 19.
WM Entertainment released a statement, stating, “Seunghee will take on the role of Cho Rok in the drama ‘Jeong Nyeon’ and take on the challenge of her second drama. Please show lots of interest.”
Adapted from a webtoon, “Jeong Nyeon” is set in the 1950s and revolves around the narrative of Yoon Jeong Nyeon, portrayed by Kim Tae Ri. The character is a young girl hailing from Mokpo, devoid of wealth or education but blessed with a remarkable singing talent.
The historical drama unfolds the events when Yoon Jeong Nyeon joins a women’s traditional theatre company in pursuit of her dreams of attaining prosperity.
The stellar cast of the drama includes Kim Tae Ri, Shin Ye Eun, Ra Mi Ran, Moon So Ri, and Jung Eun Chae.
Seung Hee, in her role as Cho Rok, portrays a research student who auditions and joins the women’s traditional theatre company alongside Jeong Nyeon.
