Sony is likely teasing a new live-action Spider-Man for the SSU in an attempt to get him to appear in one of their upcoming modern-day films. Though, as Peter Parker played by Madame Web would become a superhero in a world where other Spider-People are already active, it would offer a unique spin on the Spider-Man mythology.

Before he is ever bitten by a spider, he might have a relationship with Anya, Julia, Mattie, and Cassie in addition to being related to those characters through his Uncle Ben. It remains to be seen, though, if that plot or that version of the character will ever make it to the big screen.

Though Sony might be able to utilize a different version of Holland’s Spider-Man, it’s believed that Marvel Studios won’t allow Sony to use Peter Parker in a live-action film while their series is still in operation. Holland is still the current Spider-Man in the MCU.

After that, Holland will inevitably step down from the role, and Sony might have prepared a Spider-Man successor in advance. Madame Web’s Spider-Man setup might still be abandoned if the film doesn’t go well, so her future is still up in the air.

Is Madame Web related to Peter Parker’s Spider-Man?

Madame Web not only introduces Julia Cornwall, Anya Corazon, and Mattie Franklin, but she also sets the stage for Peter Parker’s adaptation of Spider-Man. Adam Scott’s casting as Ben Parker is established early in the film, while Emma Roberts makes her debut as Mary Parker, who is expecting a child. In a scene from Madame Web, Cassie is involved in a game where guests guess the baby’s name at Mary’s baby shower.

The baby’s gender is established as a boy, as shown when Cassie is recuperating at the film’s conclusion, even though Peter is never given away. Given that Peter Parker is usually the only child of Mary and Richard Parker, even though his name may not have been in Madame Web, it’s reasonable to assume that the film attests to his birth.

The intriguing thing about Madame Web is that, since it takes place in 2003, it cannot occur in the MCU, Tobey Maguire’s Spider-Man reality, or Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Man universe since the timelines wouldn’t line up.

In 2003, Garfield’s Peter would have been around six or seven years old, while Maguire’s Peter was already Spider-Man. In 2003, even Tom Holland’s Spider-Man would have been about two years old. Madame Web most likely occurs in a different reality from Venom and Morbius, or the same universe as Peter Parker’s birth sequence.

Although it wasn’t used in the finished film, the early Morbius indicated that Spider-Man already existed in the cosmos. Peter wouldn’t be 15 when the first movie takes place if Madame Web and Venom are in the same reality and the film is released in the same year.

He might have recently gained his powers or be about to do so, and he might make an appearance in Venom 3 or another SSU film in the future.
