Bonnie Langford, who delighted audiences with her return to Doctor Who in the 2023 special ‘The Giggle’, is set to join the stellar lineup once again.

During her appearance on Alan Titchmarsh’s Love Your Weekend last Sunday, Bonnie Langford shared insights into reprising her role as computer programmer Mel. Reflecting on her return to Doctor Who last year, she expressed her joy at being part of the iconic show once again, describing it as “wonderful.”

Speaking to the host of the ITV show, she emphasized the global appeal of Doctor Who, noting its availability on Disney+ worldwide. Bonnie also hinted at some amusing experiences on set, particularly when she had to navigate a Vespa. Recounting the experience, she quipped,

“You see what happened – I’m in the new series [but] I had to drive a Vespa. It was hilarious.”

Fans caught glimpses of her zipping around Cardiff on the scooter, always staying one step ahead of the production team. Bonnie chuckled as she shared,

“So we were driving up and down the streets of Cardiff. So of course there are all the fans there. They know where we’re going before we do.”

She added that because the fans are so clever, the show had to tell everyone she was joining.

“They’re very, very good so, they had to announce I was part of it which is very exciting,” Bonnie explained.

Fans are already excited for her Doctor Who return as one person said on X:

“So good to see Bonnie Langford on Titchmarsh this morning. She’s always such a delight, so positive and with great anecdotes to share.”

Another added:

“So lovely to see @bonnie_langford talking to Alan Titchmarsh on #LoveYourWeekend. Met her about 30yrs ago in Metrocentre Gateshead when she joined me at a table in a very busy cafe! She really is a lovely lady with no airs and graces. I was so glad the cafe was so busy that day!”

The BBC offers a glimpse into the thrilling escapades awaiting viewers in the upcoming season of Doctor Who.

Promising a whirlwind of adventures, audiences can expect the Doctor and Ruby to traverse through time and space, venturing to uncharted territories, the Regency era in England, outer space worlds, and the swinging sixties.

Russel T. Davies, at the helm of the show this season, eagerly anticipates unveiling a fresh season brimming with excitement.

He teases a smorgasbord of thrills, from encounters with monsters and exhilarating chases to facing off against formidable villains and unraveling age-old mysteries.

Davies hints at a spine-chilling secret that has spanned time and space for decades, urging viewers not to miss a single moment of the action.
