The YouTube community is grieving the loss of Jessica Pettway, a beloved content creator known for her beauty, fashion, and lifestyle videos.
Jessica passed away on March 11 after battling stage three cervical cancer, as confirmed by her sister Reyni Brown on social media. She was 36 years old.
In a heartfelt Instagram post on March 15, Reyni expressed her profound sadness over Jessica’s passing, sharing memories of their bond and describing Jessica as an incredible sister who brought wisdom and joy into her life.
Jessica bravely shared her cancer journey with her audience, revealing her diagnosis in July after initially being misdiagnosed with fibroids. Despite the challenges, Jessica remained optimistic and relied on her faith, believing that she would overcome the illness.
In an Instagram post at the time, Jessica shared, “Being told I have cancer didn’t devastate me. It was the reaction of those close to me. I knew that God is my healer and that no weapon formed against me, not even cancer, would prosper.
With a decade-long presence on YouTube, Jessica touched the lives of many with her beauty tutorials and personal anecdotes, including stories of meeting her husband as a teenager at the mall. She leaves behind her husband and their daughters, Kailee, 10, and Zoi Lee, 3, as well as a lasting impact on the YouTube community.
