We see in the previous episode that Fable, our main guy, faced off against his mark with some serious efficiency. Quick as a whip, he took the guy down, leaving him at the mercy of Takeshi’s buddy.

The Fable Season 1 Episode 4 Recap
In episode four of The Fable Season 1, we see Fable, the main character, dealing with a tricky situation. He quickly knocks out a guy he’s supposed to deal with and leaves him for someone else to handle.
But when Takeshi, another important guy, shows up and tells Fable to kill the guy, things get tense. Instead of doing what Takeshi says, Fable turns the tables on him.
They argue about life and whether Fable belongs in the neighborhood. Takeshi decides he doesn’t want Fable around and kills the guy Fable knocked out.
Then Takeshi tells his friend Kuro that Fable will be staying in town for a year. They agree to keep what happened a secret and go to grab something to eat. Meanwhile, Takahashi and Yoko have a wild night out at a bar.

Back at the bar, Takahashi gets drunk and acts silly, making Yoko laugh. Takeshi and Fable meet a woman named Misaki, who’s working hard to pay off her family’s debt.
Takeshi warns Fable not to get involved with her but says he wants to help her open a shop someday. After dropping Fable off, Takeshi leaves him to think about finding work. Fable spends time with his pet parrot, Captain, pondering his future.
