Jang Won-young's optimistic outlook, dubbed "Won-young's Thinking," gains popularity beyond IVE's fan base.

IVE’s Jang Won-young has ignited a new trend with her refreshing mindset, affectionately termed “Won-young’s Thinking,” which has resonated widely beyond the boundaries of her fan base.

The buzz around “Won-young’s Thinking” began when Jang Won-young responded to a hypothetical scenario about waiting for bread at a bakery by expressing optimism: “If the person ahead of me buys all the chocolate bread, then wouldn’t I get the new bread? As expected, the goddess of luck is on my side.”

Fans were quick to praise Jang Won-young’s unique outlook, contrasting it with conventional attitudes towards daily situations. One fan highlighted the idol’s positivity with a comparison: “Positive thinking: There’s still half a bottle of water. Negative thinking: There’s only half a bottle of water.

Wonyoung’s Thinking: I’m going to drink water after practice, but I’ll drink only half the bottle! Drinking the whole bottle is too much, but drinking less is not enough, so half is enough. I’m a totally Lucky Vicky,” referencing Jang Won-young’s English name, Vicky.

“Won-young’s Thinking” has transcended IVE’s fandom, even becoming a topic of discussion among the group’s members. Liz playfully embraced the mindset, referring to herself as “Lucky Liz” after missing out on a moment during the comeback day.

Acknowledging the trend, Jang Won-young recently delighted fans at a mini-fan meeting, where she shared her gratitude for Mnet’s “M Countdown” for making Thursdays less boring. She exclaimed, “I used to find Thursdays boring, but thanks to M Countdown, I can endure another day before welcoming the weekend. I’m totally Lucky Vicky,” drawing enthusiastic cheers from attendees.

Jang Won-young’s influence extends beyond her visual appeal and talent, now encompassing her uplifting mindset, which continues to impress and resonate with fans. Meanwhile, IVE recently released their second EP album, “IVE SWITCH,” on April 29th, with promotions centered around their title track, “HEYA.”
