Howie Mandel, known for his role as a judge on “America’s Got Talent,” shared a harrowing experience involving his wife during a recent visit to Las Vegas. Appearing on “Live With Kelly and Mark,” Mandel recounted an incident where his wife, Terry, had an accident in their hotel room after having a bit too much to drink.
She ended up walking into a wall, slipping, and subsequently hitting the wainscoting, which led to a severe injury. The fall resulted in her striking her eye area and eventually breaking her cheekbone as she collapsed to the floor.
Mandel described the alarming scene he encountered after turning on the lights, finding his wife lying on the floor with blood pooling around her head. He shockingly noted that her injury was so severe that her skull was visible through the gash on her forehead. To illustrate the gravity of the situation, Mandel shared a photograph showing Terry with a significant wound on her forehead and a severely bruised eye.
Reacting to the chaotic and frightening situation, Mandel quickly picked Terry up and placed her on the bed, attempting to manage the profuse bleeding with towels, which soon became soaked with blood. In her distressed state, Terry repeatedly asked for ice, prompting Mandel to use cold soda cans from the minibar to provide some relief before they sought medical attention at a hospital.
Fortunately, Terry is recovering well from the ordeal and does not have any lasting scars from the injury. Howie and Terry Mandel have been married since 1980 and share three children: a son named Alex and two daughters, Jackie and Riley. This incident highlights their enduring partnership and the intense moments they’ve navigated together over the years.
