The official website for the TV anime adaptation of Fuminori Teshima’s “An Archdemon’s Dilemma – How to Love Your Elf Bride” light novel series has released the second main trailer.

The anime is set to premiere on April 4th, and the trailer offers a glimpse of the ending song ‘Blue Star’ by Sayaka Yamamoto.

An Archdemon’s Dilemma: How to Love Your Elf Bride is set to premiere on April 4th on the Tokyo MX channel at 24:30 JST (effectively, April 5th at 12:30 a.m. JST or April 4th at 11:30 a.m. EDT). Following this, it will start airing on MBS on April 6th and on BS Asahi on April 5th.

Yūsuke Kobayashi will play the role of Zagan, a reclusive powerful sorcerer, and Kana Ichinose will portray Nephy, a beautiful elf girl. T

he anime’s additional cast includes Hana Hishikawa as Chastille Lillqvist, Kishō Taniyama as Barbatos, Akane Misaka as Foll, Ayasa Itō as Manuela, Tetsu Inada as Raphael Hyurandell, and narration by Toshiyuki Morikawa.

Hiroshi Ishiodori, known for shows like RIN-NE 3 and Kiss Him, Not Me, is directing the anime at Brains Base. Keiji Gotoh, who worked on In/Spectre and Kiddy Grade, is supervising the animation.

Aya Yoshinaga, known for Crest of the Stars and Project ARMS, is writing the scripts. Mina Ōsawa, who worked on Given and The Strongest Sage With the Weakest Crest, is designing the characters.

Musician Yuma Yamaguchi, known for Metallic Rouge and Undead Murder Farce, is creating the soundtrack. The Brow Beat will sing the opening theme song “Wakaranai Ai” (A Love I Can’t Understand).

The anime features prop design by Hiroshi Ogawa and Ai Hiromi, art direction by Yukihiro Shibutani, art setting by Takahiro Yoneda.

Color design by Yuuko Fukuda, compositing direction of photography by Hayato Sekiya, editing by Yasutaka Ikeda, sound direction by Haru Yamada, sound effect by Tsutomu Sukigara, and sound production by KANON.

Hobby Japan released the first volume of the light novel series in Japan in February 2017, with the 18th volume scheduled for release on April 1st. The anime adaptation of the light novel was initially announced in October 2022.

J-Novel Club releases the English version of the light novel. They released the first volume in November 2019 and will release the 16th volume on April 9th.

The manga adaptation of the light novel was launched by Hako Itagaki on Comic Fire in February 2018. The first compiled volume was published by Hobby Japan in August 2018, followed by the 11th volume on December 1.

In English, J-Novel Club released the manga’s first volume digitally in July 2021, with the 10th volume arriving on January 17.

Zagan is an extremely powerful sorcerer, but he prefers to live alone. However, his life takes an unexpected turn when he discovers love.

Known as a feared sorcerer, Zagan spends his days studying magic and scaring off anyone who comes near his home. One day, he receives an invitation to a mysterious auction.

There, he meets Nephy, a beautiful elven slave girl. Instantly smitten, Zagan spends all his money to buy her.

But there is a catch Zagan is not very good at talking to people, especially someone he likes. Now, he has to figure out how to show his love to Nephy, who is also unsure how to win his heart.

This is the story of their awkward yet charming life together, as Zagan tries to express his feelings and Nephy learns how to make him happy.
