Set in the fantastical realm of Terra, Arknights: Rise from Ember jumps deeper into the intricate world-building and compelling narrative established by the popular mobile game. Terra is a world marked by rare Catastrophes, cataclysmic events that ravage the land and force its inhabitants to seek refuge in nomadic cities.

These Catastrophes also give rise to Originium, a valuable but volatile mineral that poses a threat to those exposed to it, leading to the development of the debilitating Oripathy disease.

At the heart of the story are the lives of those afflicted with Oripathy, who often face discrimination and ostracization from society. However, a beacon of hope shows up in the form of Rhodes Island, a roving medical company that offers assistance and sanctuary to the Infected.

Yet, Rhodes Island’s noble mission is not without its challenges, as it finds itself locked in conflict with the Reunion Movement, a terrorist organization bent on overthrowing governments that oppress the Infected.
