Hajime Isayama, the mastermind behind “Attack on Titan,” isn’t ready to hang up his pen just yet. His latest endeavor, “Attack on Titan: Bad Boy,” talks about the formative years of Captain Levi, shedding light on the events that molded him into one of anime’s most formidable soldiers.

Despite hints at new content, Isayama remains firm that there won’t be a sequel to the main storyline post-Eren Jaeger’s demise.

In a recent artbook release, “Attack on Titan: Fly”, Isayama revealed his long-standing desire to wrap up the series, citing exhaustion from the relentless chapter-drawing process. He confessed to feeling an obsessive need to see the story through to its ending despite the toll it took on him mentally and physically.

The finale of Attack on Titan stirred controversy among fans, with many feeling that it took unexpected narrative turns. Isayama even issued an apology for the divisive ending.

Notably, adjustments were made to the anime’s ending, with MAPPA and Isayama collaborating to introduce new elements to better align with the creator’s vision.

Isayama’s post-series plans initially leaned toward a tranquil life, dreaming of opening his own spa and bidding farewell to his drawing days.

However, encountering passionate fans reignited his creative spark, prompting him to revisit Attack on Titan through side stories like “Bad Boy.” While the main saga may have ended, Isayama’s dedication to his fanbase ensures that the legacy of “Attack on Titan” will continue for years to come.
