Award-Winning Josei Manga Nina the Starry Bride Anime Adaptation Set to Premiere October 2024

Nina the Starry Bride anime series has a new teaser video on its official website. This video reveals the main staff and announces the premiere in October 2024.

The teaser trailer, about 75 seconds long, mainly shows the main character, the heroine of Nina the Starry Bride. It highlights the voice acting of Minami Tanaka, who plays this role, as previously announced.

The Nina the Starry Bride anime series is set to premiere on Japanese television in October 2024. However, the exact date and time of the release have not been announced yet.

There is currently no information available about the Japanese television broadcast for the premiere of Nina the Starry Bride.

It’s also unclear if the series will be available for international streaming and which platform would stream it if so.

Fans can look forward to the official website of the Nina the Starry Bride anime series sharing more details in the upcoming months leading to the October 2024 premiere.

Nina the Starry Bride anime series is based on the original manga of the same name by author and illustrator Rikachi. The manga series is still ongoing.

The main cast for the series was revealed earlier, featuring Minami Tanaka as the main character, Yuichiro Umehara as Prince Azure, and Koki Uchiyama as Seto.

The anime series is being directed by Kenichiro Komaya at Signal.MD studios, with Yuka Yamada handling both the series composition and screenplay.

Kyoko Taketani is the character designer for the series, while Natsumi Tabuchi is composing the music. As the series gets closer to its release in October 2024, more staff members are expected to be announced.

The manga is released digitally in English by Kodansha USA Publishing. The third compilation volume is scheduled to be published in print on March 5, 2024. The 11th volume, the latest digital English release of the series, came out on January 9, 2024. 

The series made its debut in Kodansha’s Be Love magazine in October 2019 and later received the Best Shojo Manga award at the 46th annual Manga Awards.

Nina started life with a tough hand orphanned and resorting to stealing just to get by. But things took a drastic turn when she was kidnapped for her unique lapis lazuli eyes.

To her surprise, her captor turned out to be Prince Azure, who declared that she would now live the life of a princess specifically, that of the recently deceased princess-priestess, Alisha, who shared her striking eyes.

Despite this twist of fate, Nina is determined not to let go of her old life without a struggle. Azure seems to be the one person who can match her intelligence, but can she truly trust him?

And as her heart begins to develop feelings she didn’t expect, she knows she must eventually marry someone else.

It’s a tale of intrigue, trust, and budding romance as Nina navigates her new life and the unexpected emotions that come with it.

Plot

The plot of Nina the Starry Bride centers around Nina, an orphan who bears a striking resemblance to Prince Azure’s deceased half-sister.

When Nina unexpectedly finds herself brought into the royal court as a potential replacement for the lost princess, it sets the stage for a classic enemies-to-lovers storyline.

This familiar plotline isn’t entirely new, but the series’ well-executed twists and turns, along with the mystery surrounding the deceased princess, add depth to the story, making it quite captivating.

Although the storyline may remind readers of other similar tales, it didn’t take away from the enjoyment.

Instead, readers will find themselves immersed in the world of Nina the Starry Bride, eagerly flipping through the pages to uncover more about the characters and their destinies.
