GMM TV’s Beauty Newbie is a romance drama starring Baifern, Win and Great in the lead roles. Liu (played by Baifern) has faced a lot of bullying because of how she looks. To try and change things, she decides to get plastic surgery when she starts university. She hopes this will help her make friends and avoid mean comments.
After her surgery, Liu meets Faye, who’s naturally beautiful. Faye becomes Liu’s first real friend. But then Guy, someone Liu knew from before, warns her to be careful around Faye. Liu doesn’t like Guy much and prefers Saint, a friendly neighbor who’s always there for her.
Things get messy when Liu has to admit she had surgery. Suddenly, the people she thought were her friends start talking about her behind her back. She feels like she’s not good enough anymore and starts doubting herself.
Now, Liu has to figure out what really matters to her: fitting in or being true to herself. She’s learning that real beauty isn’t just about looks but about being strong and staying true to who you are.
