Islam Makhachev, the UFC lightweight champion, defeated Alexander Volkanovski, the UFC featherweight champion, in the first round of their fight at UFC 294. Volkanovski suffered his first-ever knockout loss in the UFC.

Charles Oliviera, the former UFC lightweight champion, was forced to withdraw from the main event due to an injury he sustained during fight camp, and Alexander Volkanovski took the fight against Makhachev on short notice—eleven days.

Following UFC 294’s bout, Islam Makhachev and Alexander Volkanovski dined together and showed their mutual appreciation for one another. Following a devastating defeat at UFC 294 in the octagon, Alexander Volkanovski is making a comeback.

Volkanovski will take on UFC featherweight fighter Ilia Topuria in the seventh defence of his title. Previously, Alexander Volkanovski told a wonderful anecdote about how his daughter made fun of him for losing to Islam Makhachev.

Ariana, the youngest child of Volkanovski, asked her father what would happen if someone broke into their house. The UFC champion said, “I will handle it, I am a world champion.” Volkanovski’s daughter remarked, “What if the man breaking in is Islam Makhchev?” in reaction to the same.

The video is currently going viral. As of late, Alexander Volkanovski disclosed Islam Makhchev asked Volkanovski to deliver a message to his daughters and gave a gift to his daughter.

“Islam must have had some guilt and sent the girls some gifts, saying, ‘Look, I’d just tell them I’d never come to the house uninvited.'” Thus, it’s clear that Islam is a decent person, and I value that,” Volkanovski wrote on Instagram.
