Fans are unsure about Big E’s future in wrestling because he hasn’t appeared in the WWE in more than two years. The former WWE Champion has stated that he is moving forward cautiously, though.

After suffering a severe neck injury during a WWE SmackDown episode in March 2022, he decided to take a vacation from wrestling. He didn’t need surgery at first, but there were still questions about when he would be able to get back in the ring.

Big E emphasized that his health comes first in a recent interview with CBS Sports. “I’ve been active my whole life, and I never wanted to end up with permanent damage,” he stated. “I need to listen to the doctors, gather enough information, review my recent scans, and decide if it’s worth the risk.”

Big E has consulted physicians and other wrestlers who have experienced comparable difficulties during his time off. He expresses gratitude to wrestling superstars for their guidance and advice, adding, “I’m grateful to the wrestlers I idolized growing up.

Many of them contacted me to talk about their personal neck injury stories. Thank you to each and every one of them.”

Although Big E’s comeback to the ring is questionable, he recently took part in an unexpected position as part of the WWE’s WrestleMania 40 kick-off event panel. In retrospect, he says, “I didn’t even realize that I was doing the panel until I got on the plane to Vegas. In WWE, things operate that way. It frequently surprises me.
