Blue Lock Anime Teams Up with eFootball for Exciting Collaboration

One of the world’s largest soccer video games, eFootball, has teamed up with the immensely popular Blue Lock anime series in a collaboration announced by game developer Konami.

In a press release, Konami Digital Entertainment unveiled the latest update to eFootball 2024, offering players access to in-game items, log-in presents, challenges, and more.

During the promotional period, players can add special edition Blue Lock cards to their Dream Team squads, receive exclusive “Blue Lock Team Red” and “Blue Lock Team White” strips, and earn various rewards through Campaign Achievements, including experience points, in-game currency, and more.

The collaboration was accompanied by an announcement trailer featuring renowned players from top football clubs.

Alongside the Blue Lock collaboration, the new eFootball 3.4.0 version introduces ‘Position Training,’ allowing players to enhance two positional aptitudes per player and improve defensive skills such as winning back the ball accurately and individual heading capabilities.

Additionally, the ‘eFootball™ Championship: Arsenal FC’ mode launches on March 25, introducing special edition cards featuring players from Arsenal FC.

eFootball, formerly known as Pro Evolution Soccer (PES), has sold over 100 million copies worldwide. The collaboration with Blue Lock coincides with the upcoming release of the Blue Lock: Episode Nagi film on April 19, 2024.

Furthermore, Season 2 of the Blue Lock anime series has been confirmed, with studio Eight Bit returning to animate the show.

Eight Bit, known for their work on popular anime titles, including Laid-Back Camp, That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime, and The Irregular at Magic High School, will also animate Season 3 of these series as part of Crunchyroll’s Spring 2024 lineup.

Crunchyroll streams Blue Lock, a series that follows Japan’s quest for World Cup glory through a rigorous training program to find the national team’s next striker. Three hundred high school players compete for the position, but only one will emerge victorious, shaping the future of Japanese soccer.
