TVING’s upcoming drama, “Pyramid Game,” unveils stills featuring WJSN’s Bona in a gripping portrayal of the lead character, Sung Su Ji. Adapted from the webtoon of the same name, the thriller unfolds in an all-girls high school where monthly popularity votes determine students’ grades, with an F grade designating them as targets of school violence.

Bona takes on the role of Sung Su Ji, a second-year student thrust into the pyramid game’s dark cycle upon transferring to Baekyeon Girls’ High School. Determined to shatter the twisted pyramid system, Su Ji embarks on a journey to become the leader of a rebellion against this oppressive tradition.

The newly released stills capture Su Ji’s immediate aftermath upon transferring to the high school. Despite her previous experiences with transferring schools, nothing prepared her for the unexpected challenges posed by the pyramid game at her new institution. The images reflect Su Ji’s resilience as she faces the chaotic turn her school life takes after becoming the target, with visible anger in her eyes.

The central question arises: Can Su Ji, who chooses to confront the situation head-on rather than enduring it silently, break the pernicious cycle of the pyramid system?

In describing her character, Bona highlights Su Ji’s confidence and intelligence. She emphasizes Su Ji’s refusal to accept the pyramid game’s norms, portraying her as a character who is not endlessly nice but is characterized by a cool demeanour. Bona focused on conveying this nuanced aspect of Su Ji’s personality in her acting.

Bona expresses her initial attraction to the script’s uniqueness and intrigue. She identifies “mind game” as the defining keyword for “Pyramid Game,” highlighting the story’s appeal lies in victims finding alternative ways to fight back within the game, rather than resorting to violence.
