The series will first appear on TV Tokyo, TV Osaka, TV Aichi, TV Setouchi, TV Hokkaido, and TVQ Broadcasting Kyushu starting April 18th.

Takahiro Horie and Ryō Kawasaki are leading the direction of the series. The scripts are written by Miho Aotsuka and Kumiko Asō.

Natsuno started the manga in Shodensha’s On Blue boys love magazine in November 2017 and finished it in October 2018. Later on, Natsuno began a side story for the manga in December 2018, and has been publishing it irregularly ever since. The fourth volume of the manga was published by Shodensha in December 2022.

futekiya had previously released the manga digitally in English. Seven Seas Entertainment will release the first volume of the manga in September.

Additionally, futekiya had also published Natsuno’s “The Love of Calendula” (Fuyu Shirazu no Koi) manga earlier.

Plot

Yuki Shirasaki, a budding actor, had just landed a major opportunity. His excitement quickly turned into nervousness when he learned he would be working alongside the current superstar, Asami Hayama, who also happened to be his former classmate.

Determined to excel in his role, Shirasaki took his research seriously, especially since he was portraying a gay character.

In an effort to understand his character better, Shirasaki decided to immerse himself in the role by visiting a gay bar for a one-night stand.

However, fate had a surprising twist in store for him. At the bar, he came face to face with Hayama, who shocked Shirasaki by suggesting they become “friends with benefits”.

Caught off guard by this unexpected proposal, Shirasaki was now faced with a dilemma. Could he maintain his focus on his role, or would he find himself drawn to Hayama’s charisma and undeniable charm?

As Shirasaki navigated this new dynamic with Hayama, the boundaries between their professional and personal lives began to blur, leading to a captivating and unpredictable journey of self-discovery and love.
