The British Airways flight BA38 from Beijing has landed safely at Heathrow Airport after declaring a general emergency. It’s always reassuring when such situations end without any harm.

According to Flight Radar, flight BA38 from Beijing declared a general emergency as it came in to land at the busy London airport.

Transmitting code 7700 to the control tower indicates a serious ongoing emergency, enabling ground crews to prepare for assistance upon landing.

Shutting down one of the Boeing 787-8’s engines suggests a significant issue, although the exact nature is still unknown.
