CEO Min Hee-jin criticizes the Korean entertainment industry's practice of including random photocards in albums to drive sales.

CEO Min Hee-jin of ADOR held an urgent press conference at the Korea Conference Center in Gangnam-gu, Seoul on April 25th, addressing recent allegations and emotional encounters with NewJeans members.

During the conference, CEO Min vehemently denied any attempt to seize control, stressing that she never harboured such intentions. She revealed receiving late-night calls from NewJeans members expressing sympathy and support amid the controversy. Additionally, NewJeans members’ parents encouraged her to share her side of the story if she felt wronged, highlighting their trust in her integrity.

Tears welled up as CEO Min expressed her anguish, stating, “I could earn 100 billion won just by sitting still, but I can’t tolerate unfairness. I’m going through immense pain.” She emphasized her efforts and denied any ambitions of control, citing contractual complexities with HYBE.

CEO Min’s lawyer elaborated on the contractual nuances, indicating preparations for re-contracting due to perceived unreasonable terms. Notably, Min disclosed contractual limitations, likening herself to a “slave forever bound to HYBE” despite holding an 18% stake.

Moreover, CEO Min openly criticized ILLIT, a group produced by HYBE’s Chairman Bang Si-hyuk under Belift Lab, alleging plagiarism of NewJeans’ cultural achievements. She accused HYBE of dismissing her concerns and orchestrating media portrayals against her.
