Actor Cha Eun-woo praised for uplifting atmosphere on drama set.

The latest behind-the-scenes insights from MBC’s Friday-Saturday drama “Wonderful World” have talked about a shift in Cha Eun-Woo’s portrayal, from a formidable villain to a cheerful and endearing personality during breaks on set.

The drama “Wonderful World” searches into the turbulent life of Eun Soo-Hyun (portrayed by Kim Nam-Joo), a psychology professor and writer whose existence is shattered after her son’s tragic death in a hit-and-run incident. Seeking retribution, she finds herself entangled in crime and incarcerated.

Following her release, Eun Soo-Hyun encounters Kwon Seon-Yul (played by Cha Eun-woo), a mysterious individual grappling with the aftermath of losing his parents due to a string of adversities.

As the drama reached its 9th episode milestone, it achieved a notable national viewership rating of 11.4%, as reported by Nielsen Korea, surpassing previous records and establishing a promising trajectory.

Initially introduced as the antagonist seeking vengeance against Eun Soo-Hyun for his father’s demise, Cha Eun-Woo’s portrayal of a dark and dangerous character has garnered significant critical acclaim, particularly given that this is his inaugural venture into a villainous role.

However, in the recently released behind-the-scenes images, Cha Eun-woo presents an entirely different facet of his persona, donning a hospital robe and round horn-rimmed glasses while exuding a playful and adorable demeanor. Contrasting with his on-screen villainy, the idol-actor’s lighthearted and puppy-like appearance has sparked enthusiasm among fans and viewers alike.

According to the production crew of “Wonderful World,” Cha Eun-woo serves as the ultimate “mood maker” on set, not only uplifting spirits with his infectious charm but also demonstrating a dedicated commitment to harmonizing his acting with fellow cast members. His versatility and affable nature have undoubtedly left an indelible mark on the drama’s production environment, resonating positively with colleagues and fans alike.

“Wonderful World” is still an ongoing drama which is aired by MBC originally and international fans can watch it on streaming platforms like Disney+. The upcoming episode 12 will be released on 6th April 2024. Don’t forget to comment down your thoughts on the upcoming episode.
