About Look Back

Ayumu Fujino is a fourth-grade student who draws manga for her school newspaper. She’s really good at it. But one day, her teacher asks her to share her spot with Kyomoto, a student who hardly comes to school.

Kyomoto’s manga gets a lot of praise for its detailed drawings, making Fujino jealous. Fujino doesn’t want to lose to someone who doesn’t even come to school regularly.

So, she decides to learn how to make even better manga. But no matter how hard she tries, she can’t seem to beat Kyomoto. By the time Fujino is in sixth grade, she gives up on making manga altogether.

Then, on graduation day, Fujino has to give Kyomoto her graduation certificate. When they unexpectedly meet, it changes everything for both of them in ways they never expected.
