On Chicago Fire Season 12 Episode 6, Sylvie Brett and Matt Casey tied the knot and rode out of town with their families. It’s a stunning farewell for Kara Killmer, who once again proved to Brett that she is a unique paramedic that the house will sadly miss.

We wouldn’t want it any other way, therefore everything that makes Chicago Fire Chicago Fire was celebrated for the wedding episode. Even though everything appeared chaotic prior to the bachelorette party and during the wedding preparation, everything went off without a hitch.

It’s not like any other wedding to organize a fish store wedding, yet everything worked out well until the couple exchanged vows. Tony didn’t understand why, while it had always been so much for those who visited, they were mockingly dubbing it a “fish store” wedding.

He put a lot of effort into making it vibrant and exciting. Was it really necessary for them to use the decorations from the bridal convention?

Recap

It turned out very nicely, though Sylvie Brett never would have imagined the aura created by the lights and fish. Would anybody else discover the grandeur of friends and family as they did in the fish store? She didn’t marry Casey in the aquarium, where she discovered there was no one else for her?

Most likely not. I have to say that Kelly Severide is right. It does seem to last forever.  Despite having their own family today, Casey and Sylvie will always be a part of the Firehouse 51 community. There’s always a chance that this will be the last time you see someone you know for sure when you sever close ties with locations you used to live or work.

Their companionship has helped them to grow. Both of them have improved as men and firefighters since they first met. They will always remain friends, but we no longer have the chance to benefit from their friendship. Violet and Sylvie have become equally close, so working apart will be a novel experience for them.

When Sylvie and Matt part ways, they take a brilliant light with them, but we can start to see other people assuming their roles. After everything Violet Mikami has been through, losing Sylvie will not be easy, not even in light of a blessing like marriage. She and Carver have gotten closer, thank goodness.

Despite her best efforts, Carver is refusing to budge. Violet needs someone to support her when she feels helpless. For each other, Sylvie and Violet were that. When one extended their hand, the other accepted it. Never were they by themselves.

Chief Robinson will miss the amazing employee she has working beneath her since she is such a snob and wants to win Worst Manager of the Year. Yes, I’m sure there will be a scene where Violet’s incredible abilities amaze Robinson, but it will take some time. Robinson is just the beginning of the drama.
