After all, Dr. Dean Archer was going to receive a replacement kidney. He refused to take one from his son. He made an effort to avoid Sean. He even attempted to dissuade the physician from doing the surgery.

He made every effort to avoid having the procedure. The physician didn’t think he should have been given another opportunity at life or with his son.

Archer was very glad to see his ex-wife when she arrived at the hospital to put an end to the treatment. Something he was never able to express before in his life.

He was waiting for someone to finally tell him that he was not worthy of another opportunity. He understood Leanne on that. He is mocked by Leanne Archer. She is against her son giving a kidney to the man who abandoned him.

Recap

Before diving into Chicago Med Season 9 Episode 3, let’s quickly recap and review the previous episode. Sean wasn’t always the wonderful person he is today. He had an addiction to drugs, he’s an addict for life, and it was many years before he was clean, that is until he was sent to prison.

Because of his addiction, his father had once severed all of their ties, something Archer now regrets doing. Witnessing his son gradually take his own life through drug use had been difficult for him.

In order to keep himself safe, he pulled away. He contacted his son when he was jailed and now wants to be involved in Sean’s life. Also, prior to his need for a kidney transplant.

When Archer was hurt at work, they were already trying to mend their relationship. He took a brutal beating. He didn’t inform Sean that he required a new kidney even though his kidney was failing.

Sean learned about the new kidney from Dr. Asher. She is aware that Sean will stop at nothing to keep his father alive. She is also aware of Sean’s love for his father and the fact that he wouldn’t be alive without him.

Asher also attempted to convey it to Archer. After hearing what she had to say, Archer agreed to the procedure, and then Leanne made her appearance.

While the ED was having trouble functioning without Archer, Leanne was working hard to ruin everything. Archer held the position of ED Chief, he oversaw everything, and he made hires.

Sharon Goodwin assumed command because he was upstairs. She even brought on a new resident without consulting him.

Due to the new girl’s propensity for bandit medicine, two other hospitals have asked her to leave. Her directives to treat those without insurance were ignored. Her actions saved lives; by doing so, she destroyed her career at two esteemed hospitals.

Thus, Dr. Zola Ahmad might be acting hastily. A lot more happened in previous episodes, but now let’s discuss when Episode 3 of Chicago Med Season 9 will be released and what will happen in it.

Chicago Med Season 9 Episode 3 will be released on 31 January 2024 on NBC. This Episode is titled “What Happens in the Dark Always Comes to Light”. At the time of writing, 13 episodes are scheduled for this season, and we think there will be only 22 episodes like the previous seasons.

The Synopsis of Episode 3 is as follows: “Ahmad becomes agitated with an insurance firm and decides to handle things herself, risking Marcel’s first day on the committee as well as Med’s discussions. Charles supports the sad husband of a woman. The first date with Asher takes an unexpected turn.”
