Actress Kim Soo Hyun, also known as Claudia Kim, has captured attention with her return in Netflix’s upcoming drama “The Atypical Family,” where she portrays a young woman weighing up to 100kg.

Claudia’s transformation for the role left viewers astonished, with many struggling to recognize her until she appeared at the drama’s press conference on May 2nd. Remarkably, Claudia achieved this appearance without actually gaining weight, undergoing extensive makeup instead.

The director revealed the meticulous process Claudia underwent, spending nearly 7 to 8 hours on makeup before filming and facing challenges in its removal. Despite the discomfort, Claudia dedicated herself to the role, earning gratitude from the director.

In “The Atypical Family,” Claudia portrays Dong Hee, a character who loses her ability to fly as her body becomes heavier. Even Claudia herself was taken aback by her transformed appearance in character.
