At the WWE Royal Rumble, CM Punk returned to the WWE in-ring on television when he entered the men’s Royal Rumble match. One of the favorites to win the event and take center stage at WrestleMania 40 was Punk, who came in at number 27. Punk fought hard in the last few minutes, but he was unable to win and ended up as the runner-up.

After losing, Punk opened Raw by revealing that he had torn his right tricep muscle during the Royal Rumble battle and that he had been told not to wrestle for a long time. It was stated by CM Punk himself that he was unable to attend WrestleMania.

After his recent operation, he is currently undergoing therapy. Punk may appear on television in a different capacity as he recovers, according to insider information, despite the fact that he is rumored to have missed WWE television for a considerable amount of time.

CM Punk in WWE Commentary

CM Punk’s close friend Ace Steel recently made an appearance on the Wrestling Perspective Podcast, revealing that WWE is considering collaborating with Punk on the commentary desk as Punk recovers from his injuries. When questioned about CM Punk’s prospective position on WWE TV prior to his WWE comeback, Ace Steel stated that:

“They want him to provide commentary; they want him to provide commentary,” I’m not sure why they chose that path, but they created an injury angle to remove him from the tale by having [Drew] stomp on his arm. His body is what turns him off.

Personally, I don’t think we’ll see him on screen unless he’s working on NXT or something like in the interim. “His only goal would be pursuing Drew Mcintyre, therefore I really don’t want to see him on the same show as him. Well, I’m unable to resist you. Okay, I’ll give it a shot.

“You know, we witness individuals being struck by automobiles, forktrucks, and other vehicles. However, I think it’s funny that despite the fact that it’s a 100% wrestling narrative, many people still believe that the character is faking the injury since they created the storyline around it.

You’ve carried out numerous instances where you thought, “Oh, let’s do this where he hurts guys.” As we said earlier, Punk may serve as a commentator while he recovers. Kevin Patrick was recently let go by WWE, and the commentary desk is empty. Prior to suffering from an injury, Samoa Joe was a regular pundit on the commentary desk.
