Country music artist Colt Ford is currently described as “in stable but critical condition” at an Arizona hospital after experiencing a heart attack earlier this week, as confirmed by a spokesperson for the singer-songwriter.

The 54-year-old Ford encountered the medical emergency on Thursday subsequent to a performance in Gilbert, Arizona, at Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row.

He was swiftly transported to a medical facility in Mesa, as outlined by Ryan Bell, Ford’s publicity manager.

As of Saturday, Bell conveyed that the musician has been moved to the Mayo Clinic situated in Scottsdale.

Ford, a multi-platinum artist hailing from Georgia, is recognized for his significant impact on both country and rap music genres.

His album “Declaration of Independence” released in 2012 secured five consecutive Top 10 debuts on the Billboard Top Country Albums chart.

Following this success, his subsequent record “Thanks for Listening” attained the No. 1 position on Billboard’s Rap Albums and Independent Albums charts in 2014.

In 2011, Ford received a nomination for an Academy of Country Music Award in the vocal event of the year category for his collaboration with Jamey Johnson on the song “Cold Beer.”
