Conor McGregor’s return to the octagon has been confirmed by the UFC. The upcoming welterweight clash will pit the Irish powerhouse against Michael Chandler at UFC 303, slated for June in Las Vegas.

McGregor boasts a career tally of 22 victories and six losses in MMA, while his American counterpart, 37-year-old Chandler, holds a record of 23 wins and 8 defeats.

His journey back to the ring follows his unfortunate leg injury during his bout against Dustin Poirier in July 2021.

Since his historic achievement as the UFC’s first simultaneous two-weight champion in 2016, McGregor has faced a string of setbacks, securing only one victory.

Notably, he suffered defeats at the hands of Justin Gaethje and Poirier, following his initial loss to Charles Oliveira in his second UFC appearance.

Despite enduring extended periods of recuperation, McGregor finds himself on a two-fight losing streak, compounded by his ongoing recovery from the tibia injury sustained in the Poirier match.

Scheduled at 170 pounds, the showdown is officially slated for June 29, 2024, coinciding with International Fight Week in Las Vegas.
