Dak Prescott, the quarterback of the Dallas Cowboys for the past eight seasons, has filed a lawsuit alleging that a woman is attempting to extort $100 million from him through a threat of false sexual assault accusations. The woman’s attorney stated that they plan to take the accusation against Prescott to criminal court and hinted at impending lawsuits related to the matter.

The alleged incident reportedly occurred in 2017 at the parking lot of XTC Cabaret, a Dallas strip club. The Dallas Police Department is investigating the sexual assault claim, while the Prosper Police Department is looking into Prescott’s claims of extortion. Prescott resides in Prosper, Texas.

In Prescott’s lawsuit filed in Collin County, he accuses Victoria Shores and her legal team of attempting to extort him. The suit alleges that Shores demanded $100 million to settle a claim surrounding the 2017 sexual assault allegation, offering to forgo pursuing criminal charges and public disclosure in exchange for compensation for mental anguish.

Prescott’s attorney labeled the allegations as “an extortion plot,” asserting that Prescott has never engaged in nonconsensual sexual conduct. The attorney emphasized Prescott’s empathy for sexual assault survivors and vowed not to let Shores and her legal team profit from the alleged extortion attempt.

On the other hand, Shores’ attorney described the correspondence sent to Prescott as a standard demand letter in the civil case process, denying any extortionist intent. They expressed disappointment in Prescott’s portrayal of himself as the victim and highlighted the challenges faced by victims in coming forward, especially when the accused holds a prominent status like Prescott.

According to Shores’ attorney, she connected with their legal team a few months ago, and they reached out to Prescott after determining the appropriate contact. The NFL stated that they are aware of Prescott’s legal situation but declined to comment on the matter.
