A significant development has occurred in the lawsuit accusing Dallas Cowboys quarterback Dak Prescott of sexual assault, with the case being moved to Collin County, Texas, as confirmed by the plaintiff’s attorney and ESPN’s Todd Archer.

Attorney Yoel Zehaie, representing the accuser, revealed that they opted to transfer the case from Dallas County to Collin County, where the Cowboys’ headquarters are situated.

While reports initially suggested the case had been dropped entirely, Zehaie clarified that this was not the case, indicating the possibility of refiling in the future.

The lawsuit stems from an alleged sexual assault incident in early 2017, with Dallas police confirming an ongoing investigation earlier this year.

The accuser claims the assault occurred in the parking lot of a strip club, implicating Prescott. However, Prescott has vehemently denied these allegations, filing a $100 million extortion claim against the accuser and her attorneys.

According to Prescott’s lawsuit, the accuser and her legal representatives allegedly demanded $100 million in exchange for not pursuing criminal charges or publicly disclosing the claims.

Prescott is seeking $1 million in damages in his counter lawsuit, maintaining that he has never engaged in non-consensual sexual activity.

Amidst the legal battles, Zehaie asserts that Prescott’s extortion claim serves as a diversion from the core issue of the alleged assault.
