This year, Anaheim (26-50-5) will not play in the postseason. They play their last game on Thursday (10 p.m. ET; BSSD, BSSC, SCRIPPS) against the Vegas Golden Knights.

With 38 goals this season, Gauthier’s record with Boston College is the highest in Division I in the NCAA since 1999–2000. His skill was demonstrated by his 65 points (38 goals, 27 assists) in 41 games.

Despite Boston College’s defeat in the Frozen Four final, Gauthier’s outstanding play placed him among the candidates for the Hobey Baker Award, which honors the best players in NCAA Hockey.

Gauthier, who was selected by the Philadelphia Flyers in the 2022 NHL Draft, became a member of the Ducks in January. His stellar resume includes 54 goals in two seasons at BC, where he also won tournament MVP honors while guiding the US to victory in the World Junior Championship.
