The Rock made a huge impact at WrestleMania 40, exciting fans who hadn’t watched wrestling in a while. His return wasn’t just great for fans, but also for his wallet.

Earlier this year, The Rock joined the board of directors for TKO Group, which owns WWE and UFC.

As part of the deal, he agreed to let WWE use his name and likeness for ten years. In exchange, he got $30 million worth of TKO stock.

At WrestleMania 40, Cody Rhodes beat Roman Reigns to become the new champion.

The Rock was a big part of the event on both nights. For his role, he received nearly $10 million in TKO stock.

After WrestleMania, The Rock got $9.41 million worth of TKO stock for the work he did.

WrestleMania 40 Breaks Records

Dwayne Johnson got 96,558 shares of TKO Group Holdings Class A common stock after his WrestleMania 40 appearance.

As part of his deal, he got a quarter of the stock upfront, another quarter at the end of the year, and the rest will be given to him in monthly amounts in 2025.

He’ll receive the rest of the stock once he meets certain goals outlined in his agreement. Thanks to Dwayne Johnson, along with appearances from other wrestling legends like The Undertaker and John Cena, WrestleMania 40 saw a huge increase in viewership on Peacock.

Compared to last year, there was a 41% jump in viewers, setting a new record. The Rock’s comeback made the main events of both nights a must-watch.

Additionally, WrestleMania 40 broke the previous attendance record set by WrestleMania 39 by a whopping 78%. Over the two nights, 145,298 fans packed Lincoln Financial Stadium.
