D3Publisher revealed on Wednesday that Earth Defense Force 6 will make its debut in North America and Europe on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and PC via Steam on July 25, following a delay. The announcement came with a trailer showcasing pre-orders and early purchase bonuses.

The game will offer a Deluxe Edition, with pre-order rewards featuring the “Reverse Core Type-N” equipment for Wing Divers and three decoys inspired by VTubers. Early purchasers will receive Hololive items for up to five months post-launch.

Originally slated for a spring 2024 release, with an Epic Games Store launch to follow, the game’s arrival was pushed back. Clouded Leopard Entertainment will also release the English version in Asia in 2024.

Earth Defense Force 6 initially launched in Japan in August 2022 for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, following a series of delays from its original end-of-2021 target.

Set three years after Earth Defense Force 5, the game continues the franchise’s story. D3Publisher digitally released Earth Defense Force 5 on PS4 in the West in December 2018, following its December 2017 launch in Japan. The PC version arrived via Steam in July 2019, with a physical PS4 release in North America and Europe in September 2020 by PQube.

Additionally, D3Publisher is developing Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, the sequel to the Earth Defense Force: World Brothers spinoff game, set for release on PS5, PS4, and Switch in the West on September 26, following its May 23 launch in Japan.
