Eiza González is in discussions to join James Marsden and Vince Vaughn in the upcoming action comedy film, Mike and Nick and Nick and Alice, which is being developed by 20th Century Studios. The film will be directed by BenDavid Grabinski, known for creating the animated series Scott Pilgrim Takes Off on Netflix, who also wrote the script. Production is slated to begin in August in Winnipeg, Canada.
The movie is described as a buddy action comedy with a setting in the criminal underworld and includes a time travel element. Sources suggest that Vince Vaughn might be playing the dual roles of the two Nicks mentioned in the film’s title. The exact details of the plot remain unclear at this time.
Eiza González is currently featured in the hit show 3 Body Problem, which is created by David Benioff and D.B. Weiss of Game of Thrones fame, and Alexander Woo of True Blood. The series, which premiered in March, has been renewed for two additional seasons and has garnered six Emmy nominations.
Looking ahead, González will appear in La Maquina, a boxing limited series with Gael García Bernal and Diego Luna, which will be Hulu’s first Spanish-language series. In 2025, she will collaborate again with Guy Ritchie on the action thriller In the Grey, alongside Jake Gyllenhaal and Henry Cavill.
She has also recently completed filming Fountain of Youth, another Ritchie project featuring John Krasinski and Natalie Portman. González is represented by CAA, Linden Entertainment, and Jackoway Austen.
