It’s incredible to think that My Hero Academia has been grabbing fans for a whole decade. Kohei Horikoshi, the creator, started crafting the series ten years ago, and now it appears to be reaching its peak.

With the manga entering its final phase, all attention is fixed on the latest developments in My Hero Academia’s story. However, amidst this anticipation, there’s been a surprising hiccup – a recent popularity poll’s data seems to have hit a snag.

Shueisha, the publisher, addressed the issue directly through My Hero Academia’s social media platforms. Fans were informed that the results of the latest popularity poll, released in Issue 19 of Weekly Shonen Jump, might contain errors.

“We have received many reports that there may be an error in the My Hero Academia popularity poll results published in Issue 19 of Weekly Shonen Jump that released today… Upon checking, we discovered that there were some errors in the collected data,” the team shared.

“We are currently investigating the details and whether there are any other mistakes besides those pointed out. After the investigation is done, we will announce a new release method for the updated results. We are very sorry for the issue and inconvenience caused. Thank you.”

Naturally, fans are eagerly awaiting the corrected results of the My Hero Academia popularity poll. The initial, albeit erroneous, data suggested Bakugo Katsuki claimed the top spot among fans, with Izuku Midoriya following closely behind.

Other beloved characters such as Kirishima, Ochaco, Hawks, Dani, and Shoto also ranked within the top ten. Once the poll results are rectified, it’ll be intriguing to see if these rankings remain unchanged.

For those who haven’t caught up with My Hero Academia yet, now’s a perfect time to dive in as the manga approaches its final chapters. You can easily binge-read the series on Manga Plus and the Shonen Jump app. Here’s a quick synopsis for those interested:

“Izuku has dreamt of being a hero all his life—a lofty goal for anyone, but especially challenging for a kid with no superpowers. That’s right, in a world where eighty percent of the population has some kind of super-powered ‘quirk,’ Izuku was unlucky enough to be born completely normal. But that’s not enough to stop him from enrolling in one of the world’s most prestigious hero academies.”
