The WWE Draft’s first night on SmackDown brought remarkable shifts in RAW and SmackDown’s rosters, making it a memorable event. CM Punk, however, didn’t make an appearance during the televised segment. Despite his absence, he assured fans of his return once the cameras stopped rolling.

Previously, The Best in the field was announced to appear on both nights of the WWE Draft, highlighting his recent involvement in WWE, notably during WrestleMania 40 Kickoff shows despite a triceps injury. Yet, he was missing on this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown.

CM Punk’s Return

After the show’s conclusion, CM Punk surprised everyone with his appearance to address the crowd. Speaking to the enthusiastic audience, he pledged to return from his injury soon.

“Big things going on here in the WWE. The draft was today. The draft continues on Monday. I felt compelled to come out here and speak to my friends in Cincinnati. I have missed you. Take a moment to look around at this place. Y’all packed this house.

We couldn’t do this without each and every single one of you, so on behalf of everybody backstage, in front of and behind the camera, we humbly thank you very, very much.

I want to give a little update. My tricep is not 100% yet, but I am on track, and I promise, soon, I will be back, and I will be competing with all of the big, tough badasses backstage.”
