“Exhuma” Maintains Box Office Dominance, Surpasses 4 Million Moviegoers in 8 Days Since its release on February 22, the Korean film “Exhuma” continues to reign supreme at the box office, holding the No. 1 position for an impressive eight consecutive days.

On March 1, the Korean Film Council delivered noteworthy news, revealing that just two days after reaching the 3 million milestone, “Exhuma” had already surpassed an impressive total of 4 million moviegoers.

This accomplishment marks the film as the first of 2024 to achieve such a feat in South Korea.

What makes this achievement even more remarkable is the speed at which “Exhuma” reached the 4 million mark. It outpaced the previous hit “12.12: The Day,” which took about 12 days to achieve a similar milestone before eventually becoming the sixth-highest-grossing film in South Korean box office history.

“Exhuma” unfolds as an occult mystery film, centring around two exorcists portrayed by Kim Go Eun and Lee Do Hyun, a mortician played by Yoo Hae Jin, and a feng shui master portrayed by Choi Min Sik. The narrative revolves around their endeavours to relocate mysterious graves in exchange for a substantial sum of money.
