The time and date of The Expats Season 1 Episode 5’s premiere have been disclosed. Amazon Prime Video will broadcast the episode. Expats Season 1 is set in Hong Kong during the 2014 Umbrella Movement protests and centers on the strange disappearance of Margaret’s youngest son, Gus, during a trip to a night market.
Three American women deal with secrets, love triangles, and dishonesty: Margaret struggles with shame, Hilary handles a failing marriage, and Mercy makes bad decisions for herself.

Even though there wasn’t much action in Expats episode 4, on Amazon Prime Video, there were still a number of stunning revelations. Due to the events of Expats episode 4, Hilary, Margaret, and Mercy were forced to wait.
However, during these long-awaited and unexpected conversations, additional insights into the pasts of the three women were revealed, along with some extremely painful details about the pasts of supporting characters like David.
Expats episode 4 encouraged the development of several characters’ relationships by its lengthy pauses, allowing them to take use of the time they had to bond and reunite, even if, based on what really transpired in the episode, it was rather unremarkable.
When Hilary awakens on a fresh day, she is horrified to discover that she has forgotten her mother’s visit. Just as Sam’s car drives into the driveway, she hastily changes into new clothing and heads downstairs to pick up her mother.
After ignoring the welcomes, Hilary’s mother quickly begins criticizing her daughter, leaving it up to us to assess how Hilary has chosen to live her life independently. A technical issue forces the two women to become stuck with one another as they make their way to the elevator.
Hilary’s mother speaks without thinking and says whatever comes to her mind, including derogatory remarks about the white woman based on her race. The episode illustrates our characters’ complexity and mental processes using the four walls of a room.
Margret begins acting strangely as soon as she enters the facility where she and Clark have been called by the cops to identify a child’s dead body. Despite her icy tone, her jittery behavior indicates that she is mentally getting ready for what is going to happen in the next few hours.
Before an official can come and help them, a janitor locks Margret and Clark in a room together due to a language problem. They are now alone and unsure of what to do, and they have to deal with the disturbing realization that one of these rooms may contain Gus’s lifeless body.
