Star Wars fans, get ready for an immersive journey into the depths of Morgan Elsbeth’s past. At the Calgary Expo 2024, Diana Lee Inosanto, alongside moderator Maggie Lovitt and fellow actor Eman Esfandi, expressed excitement for the upcoming series ‘Tales of the Empire’, set to premiere on May 4.

Inosanto praised showrunner Dave Filoni, anticipating viewers to witness the intricate evolution of Morgan Elsbeth’s character, seamlessly connecting with ‘The Mandalorian’ and ‘Ahsoka’.

She lauded the animation team’s dedication to portraying martial arts sequences, promising fans an unparalleled viewing experience. The second season promises a darker tone, with Morgan Elsbeth taking center stage, providing fans with an in-depth exploration of her character.

What To Expect?

Tales of the Empire is the follow-up to Tales of the Jedi, which aired in 2023. It focused on Ahsoka Tano and Count Dooku before he became a Sith Lord. The show had six episodes, with each character starring in three.

In Tales of the Empire, three episodes will feature Morgan Elsbeth, while the remaining three will focus on Barriss Offee, played by Meredith Salenger from ‘The Clone Wars’. 

Lucasfilm released the trailer for ‘Star Wars: Tales of the Empire’ on April 4th, surprising fans with a title change. The trailer shows Morgan Elsbeth and Grand Admiral Thrawn meeting, likely before Thrawn’s disappearance in ‘Star Wars: Rebels.’

Barriss Offee, imprisoned, is recruited by The Fourth Sister to join the Jedi-hunting Inquisitors. Both protagonists encounter familiar faces, such as Morgan fighting General Grievous during the Nightsisters’ Massacre and Barris’s training with The Grand Inquisitor in the Fortress Inquisitorius. Darth Vader also makes an appearance at the end of the trailer.
