Shinji Ishihara, the director of the original “Fairy Tail” anime series, serves as the chief director for the new anime, with Toshinori Watanabe directing at J.C. Staff. Atsuhiro Tomioka supervises the anime’s scripts, and Yurika Sako designs the characters. Shōji Hata and Yasuharu Takanashi return as sound director and music composer, respectively.

The manga, published by Kodansha USA Publishing, follows Natsu, Lucy, Happy, Erza, and the Fairy Tail guild as they go on the “100 Years Quest” – a challenging mission that no one has attempted in over a century.
