On February 3rd, a preliminary audition to discover new members for FIFTY FIFTY took place at the Kallang Place event hall in Singapore, organized by the agency Attrakt.

Individuals aged 14 and above from Southeast Asia congregated at the venue, with the prospect of advancing to the final audition round scheduled in Thailand on March 2nd for those who successfully passed this preliminary stage.

Attrakt, the agency behind FIFTY FIFTY, is conducting auditions in multiple countries globally, including Korea, Japan, and Singapore, to identify potential new members. Notably, Evergreen Group Holdings’ CEO, David Yong, a judge in the auditions, previously announced a 10 billion won investment in Attrakt in August of the preceding year. He shared his impression of the auditions, stating, “The talents of the participants exceeded our expectations. FIFTY FIFTY’s final lineup is not yet certain.”

Attrakt disclosed their plan to finalize the group’s lineup in April and release a new song by June, signalling a fresh chapter for FIFTY FIFTY.

The group gained international recognition with the single “Cupid,” achieving a significant breakthrough on global major charts and earning the label of the “miracle of small and medium-sized idols.” However, their success was marred by internal conflicts, leading to members filing an injunction in June of the previous year to suspend the effectiveness of their exclusive contracts with Attrakt.

Despite Keena withdrawing the lawsuit and returning to Attrakt during this period, Attrakt proceeded to terminate the exclusive contracts of Saena, Sio, and Aran.

In the aftermath, Keena, who embarked on a new beginning upon her return, marked her first debut anniversary in November of the past year with a heartfelt handwritten letter. In it, she reflected on the journey, stating, “It was a time of learning and growth. As FIFTY FIFTY’s Keena, I will present good performances and music to Hunnies (fandom) in the future.”

The ongoing auditions and plans for a new song signify Attrakt’s commitment to rejuvenating FIFTY FIFTY and overcoming the challenges that beset the group, aiming for a promising and successful future.
