Along with Seth Rollins and Jon Moxley, Roman Reigns formed The Shield when he started his WWE career in 2012. The three became one of the most illustrious partnerships in WWE very fast after rising to fame. Reigns, however, disclosed that he felt limited by Vince McMahon’s booking choices following the split with Shield.

Even though The Shield was incredibly successful, Reigns had trouble adjusting to being on his own. Fans resisted WWE’s attempts to portray him as a babyface.

Reigns acknowledged feeling uncomfortable about the divorce and his role as a decent guy in his most recent WWE Legends DVD. He had to follow WWE’s instructions despite his personal objections because of financial and family obligations.

Reigns’ open admissions illuminated the difficulties of making a statement in the professional wrestling business. The Shield’s reputation has not been damaged in spite of these difficulties; it even peaked at number one on the esteemed PWI Top 500.

Even though it’s doubtful that The Shield will reunite now that Moxley is gone, their influence lives on, solidifying their place in WWE history.
