Power Rangers Cosmic Fury’s Ending Teases A Mighty Morphin Sequel

The conclusion of Cosmic Fury leaves the door open for more stories set in the original universe, even though a Power Rangers reboot series might come in the future.

The Dino Fury/Cosmic Fury Rangers’ adventures had come to an end, but Zordon’s comeback raised the possibility of a Mighty Morphin sequel.

The Power RangersTwenty-five years after the mentor of the Power Rangers, Zordon, passed away in Power Rangers in Space’s “Countdown to Destruction,” Cosmic Fury casually brought him back.

Zordon was able to speak with Cosmic Fury’s Gold Ranger, Aiyon, and uttered the well-known phrase, “May the power protect you.”

Zordon and Aiyon had a conversation, Billy later found out. The Power RangersBilly is now aware that Zordon is still alive, according to Cosmic Fury.

Billy mentioned in Power Rangers: Once & Always that there are still a lot of unanswered questions about the Z-Wave and the Morphin Grid, hinting at Zordon’s possible comeback.

Like Once & Always, Cosmic Fury concludes with Billy still not understanding how Zordon could still be alive. The Mighty Morphin Power Rangers cast may appear in further stories after this thrilling Power Rangers finale.

It remains unclear, though, if David Yost or any other original Power Rangers actor would make a comeback in a future endeavor.

Power Rangers affirm Zordon’s resurrection more than 25 years after the events of In Space. Since Zordon, the mentor of the Power Rangers, gave his life to form the Z-Wave, which would eradicate evil from the cosmos, the circumstances surrounding his death have always been shrouded in mystery.

Zordon’s death might have been easily retconned because he never had a physical body in any of the Power Rangers TV series. Over the previous 20 years, Power Rangers had avoided revisiting Zordon’s demise; now, Cosmic Fury returns the beloved Mighty Morphin, but with a twist.

From Aiyon’s point of view, Zordon is a part of the Morphin Grid in Cosmic Fury. The Power Rangers’ abilities come from the Morphin Grid, which also serves as a link between all Power Rangers teams from all timelines and universes.

The Eltharian creature joined the Morphin Grid when In Space Red Ranger Andros destroyed Zordon’s tube. Zordon and Aiyon were able to speak inside the Morphin Grid.

But Zordon’s appearance as Zayto was necessary because the Gold Ranger needed to see a physical form inside the Grid to understand what was going on. It was a cunning move to revive Zordon without really revealing the mentor of the Power Rangers.
