Recap

Play of the Gods is a game of intellect devised by bored gods with ample free time. Those bestowed with Arise, a unique power, are called Apostles, eligible to participate in the Play of the Gods.

If they secure ten victories, they earn the chance to make a wish. Despite numerous attempts, no one has emerged victorious.

Leoleshea, a former Goddess, awakens from a deep sleep and proclaims, Summon forth the individual who reigns supreme in this era! Fay.

An undefeated human hailed as the best rookie in recent years after securing three consecutive wins, is selected. Opting to join forces with Leoleshea, he takes up on the challenge of the Play of the Gods.

Thus, the cerebral showdown between Fay and Leoleshea commences. In episode 1 of God’s Game We Play, Fay Theo Philus, hailed as the greatest apostle of his era, makes a comeback following a six-month expedition to pursue a woman he believes holds significant importance in the series.

Fay finds himself tasked with overseeing Leoleshea, a former deity discovered frozen in glaciers dating back thousands of years.

Upon her awakening, Leoleshea requests that humans present their most skilled player to accompany her in the game of gods.

Fay, with his three victories since his debut and his genuine demeanor, emerges as the ideal candidate for this mission.

They set out on a quest to attain ten victories, which entitles the victor to any wish they desire.

The episode wraps up as the duo ventures through the Divine Gate, entering the celestial realms of the gods to initiate their inaugural game.
