In the last episode of Halo season 2, called “Halo,” a lot of big things happen. It ties up many storylines and gets us excited for season 3. The episode starts right where the last one left off, with Makee and The Arbiter Var ‘Gatanai rushing toward the Halo. Admiral Parangosky gets Spartan-III soldiers ready to stop the Covenant from getting to the Sacred Ring.

In the last episode of Halo Season 2, Dr. Catherine Halsey and Miranda Keyes are looking into a mysterious Forerunner scientist’s device. Miranda managed to unlock it before, but we’re still waiting to find out what she discovered.

We also see Soren, a former Spartan who’s now a rebel, briefly meeting his son before they’re captured by UNSC forces. John-117, also known as Master Chief, gets ready to intercept the Covenant with new information about the Halo’s location.

The episode starts with Master Chief talking to someone we can’t see yet. It turns out to be the monitor 343 Guilty Spark, a Forerunner A.I. In the Halo games, Guilty Spark helps Master Chief fight against the Flood. This hints at their relationship evolving.

Miranda Keyes starts examining the Forerunner device they found. But things take a scary turn when a scientist is infected by spores from the device and transforms violently.
