Kyotaro comes to school and shares that the new school year has started. He checks the classroom listings to see if he and Yamada are in the same class.

Yamada mentions she’s already in her new classroom but hasn’t checked where Kyotaro’s name is listed. Kyotaro arrives, and Yamada quickly goes to greet him.

To avoid any misunderstandings, she shifts her focus to another student in the class. They have some funny moments and chats before we see Yamada giving Kyotaro a wallet chain.

When they hear Moeko, Hanzawa, and Kanna coming in, they both hide behind Ms. Moriya’s podium.
The two secretly listen in on Moeko’s chat with Hanzawa and Kanna about Kyotaro and Yamada’s relationship, along with the past relationship of two other classmates.

After they leave, Yamada asks Kyotaro if they’re a couple, but he says they’re not. Suddenly, Moeko finds them and realizes they’re in an awkward situation.

After Kyotaro catches up with Adachi and the others, we see several students getting health check-ups. Then, Yamada spots Kyotaro nearby and sneakily looks at his results.

Kanna notices how close they are, but Kyotaro reassures her that he and Yamada are just friends. Some drama unfolds between Yamada, Hanzawa, and Kanna before we move to the library.

In the library, Yamada suggests that she and Kyotaro mark each other’s heights. After they do, things get a bit intimate between them.

Kyotaro tries to confess his feelings to Yamada, but Hanzawa interrupts them, drops her book, and leaves. Yamada picks up Hanzawa’s book and decides to give it back to her.

Later in class, Kyotaro starts to wonder if he should be concerned about Hanzawa. To add to his day, Kyotaro finds out that he and Yamada will be seated next to each other.

Wanting to impress her, he tries a bold move, but it doesn’t go as planned. Later, Kyotaro sees that Yamada left Hanzawa’s book on her desk and notices there’s a note inside. He quickly reads it.

A day or so later, Kyotaro unexpectedly comes across Hanzawa and Yamada having a discussion in the library. Hanzawa apologizes to Yamada and expresses her desire to learn about love. Kyotaro walks by the two, prompting Hanzawa to leave.

Yamada stops Hanzawa and suggests they connect on LINE. She promises to share love advice with her later, making Hanzawa nervous, and she hurries off. The episode ends with Kyotaro warning Yamada to be cautious about getting close to others.
