The Hero Stigma who had the Hero Fragment was killed early on in the series and he was the reason why Deon even became the Commander of the Zero Order of Demon Corps. Stigma seemed like a strong and genuinely nice person, and he helped Deon on the battlefield from time to time by giving him actual good advice.

Stigma did not approve of Deon’s way of fighting and the fact that he barged into the battle without much thoughts of regards for his safety. The other Knights also scored Deon’s Order of Knights since they were very barbaric and far from showing the sophistication or chivalry of a true Knight.

Recap

In the previous chapter of I’m Not That Kind of Talent, we see a flashback from Deon’s Order of Knights’ perspective. This Order of Knights served as the vanguard in the eight year war and they were nothing but a ragtag group of farmers from countryside. Initially, none of them really believed they were going to survive.

It made sense since they had no idea how to wield a sword and the Demon army had broken through the front lines. However, things changed when they saw their commander in action, who was nothing but a weak and frail child at that time and the way he fought on the battlefield.

They were all scared of Deon since he had no shred of humanity when he fought and he often screamed “die” when fighting. He also kept stabbing a person even after they had fallen which was pretty unhinged and scary. The Knights tried to stop him but Deon had only reply and he told them that he had to do it for survival.

On the battlefield, weakness meant death and he told the Knights that they had to instill a sense of fear in the enemies if they wanted to have a shot at survival. Deon’s reasoning made sense to the Knights and gave them a new sense of purpose and a new way of fighting.

They all began stabbing and killing with a smile on their face and lost their senses on the battlefield. This was exactly why everyone was terrified of that particular Knight Order since they lost their rationality while fighting. Deon was at the forefront of it all and all the Knights began to admire him for teaching them how to live.

When the Hero Stigma, who possessed the Hero fragment joined the war, things became tensed since the other Knights found Deon’s knights to be unrefined and barbaric. Stigma also often gave advice to Deon which was very useful and helped him quite a lot during the battles.
