Jang Seung Jo Discusses Collaboration with Kim Ha Neul and Yeon Woo Jin in ‘Grabbed By The Collar’

KBS2’s highly anticipated drama, “Grabbed by the Collar,” teases viewers with new stills featuring Jang Seung Jo. Adapted from a popular web novel, the romance thriller follows investigative reporter Seo Jung Won (Kim Ha Neul) and ace detective Kim Tae Hoon (Yeon Woo Jin), former lovers who reunite to solve a string of murders.

In the upcoming series, Jang Seung Jo takes on the role of Seo Jung Won’s husband, Seol Woo Jae, a novelist and heir to a chaebol, concealing a sense of emptiness and loneliness beneath his seemingly perfect exterior.

Their stable marriage is disrupted when they confront a murder case, unravelling hidden complexities in their relationship.

Explaining his decision to join the project, Jang Seung Jo expressed intrigue in the script, particularly the intricacies of Seol Woo Jae’s character. He shared, “The script made me curious about where the tangled relationship would end up.

In particular, Seol Woo Jae’s narrative, the hidden story, and complex emotions gave me the desire to play this character.”

Despite ongoing filming, Jang Seung Jo acknowledged the challenges in portraying Seol Woo Jae. He likened the experience to navigating a labyrinth, constantly searching for an invisible exit while contemplating how to convey the character’s narrative within the mystery genre’s framework.

Expressing gratitude to his co-stars, Jang Seung Jo highlighted the privilege of working with senior actress Kim Ha Neul. He emphasized that viewers would understand why Kim Ha Neul was the perfect choice for the role of Seo Jung Won as they witnessed her portrayal during the broadcast.
