This certain news is currently trending all over Twitter and some people are quite scared about the consequences that could result from this investigation. The Japanese police have even arrested two people in Japan who were sharing the leaks. And as a result, some of the fan translation sites have also shut down.

So, Nhk, which is a popular Japanese News channel, just reported that Japanese Police have arrested two foreign nationals in Japan under the suspicion of sharing manga leaks from Weekly Shonen Jump even before its release.

NHK also reported that among those two, one goes by the name Musa Samir (age 36) and runs the Japan Deal World LCC company in Kita Ward, Tokyo. They are arrested for breaking the copyright law by sharing images of the Weekly Shonen Jump online without their permission.

There individuals used to purchase the magazine from the store even before its release date. If you think how is that possible, then listen. The magazine arrives in the bookstore a day before the release, but they are not for sale until Wednesday, so these individuals somehow buy it and leak the images online from social media platforms.

Kumamoto Police also made a booth in which they showcased the posts of leakers that were circulating on the Internet. In this image, we can also see that the police have seized the leakers’ phones and computers.

Consequence of this Leaker Arrest!

Just after this news came out, Leakers from all communities like One Piece, Jujutsu Kaisen, and My Hero Academia posted a tweet saying that the leaks would not arrive on Tuesday night or Wednesday morning, instead, the leaks will now come out on Wednesday night or Thursday morning. 

It seems that the ones who were sharing the leaks from Japan have been arrested and are one of those two people. You may still wonder who the leaks will come out on Wednesday night or Thursday morning.

So first, the Weekly Shonen Jump Magazine is released on Wednesday morning in Japan, and after one day, it gets released on their digital website (Japanese Translation). On Sunday, it will be released in English for a worldwide audience.

Shueisha’s Response to this Action

Shueisha, the owner of Weekly Shonen Jump, commented on the news that their company has received a lot of damage due to some people sharing the post on the internet. They said that they hope that police clarify the spoiler route will prevent further damage in the future.
