Every week, Jennie, one of the four members of the band Blackpink, continues her ascent on the Billboard charts. The singer’s latest hit, “One of the Girls,” has been steadily climbing the rankings for months, consistently reaching new peaks and achieving historic milestones.

In this period, the track achieves yet another remarkable position, allowing Jennie to surpass a record previously held by one of her bandmates.

“One of the Girls” reaches a new peak at No. 34 on this week’s Pop Airplay chart. Billboard unveils the 40-track list, highlighting songs with the highest audience impressions on pop radio stations across the U.S. every week.

“One of the Girls” made a historic debut on the Pop Airplay chart last week, entering at No. 40. Its recent climb showcases even more remarkable achievements as it advances a few spots.

Now, it stands as the second-highest-charting hit in the history of the Pop Airplay chart by any solo South Korean musician. Surpassing both Alexa’s “Wonderland” and Lisa’s “Money,” which peaked at Nos. 38 and 35, respectively, “One of the Girls” achieves another significant milestone.

Lisa, also a member of Blackpink, saw her single “Money” hold the title as the highest-rising hit from any of the group’s singers on the Pop Airplay chart until this week. Originally from Thailand, Lisa launched her music career in South Korea, gaining recognition for her K-pop tunes.

Currently, only one track by a solo South Korean female musician has reached higher on the Pop Airplay chart. Bibi, along with alternative artist 347aidan, climbed to No. 31 with “The Weekend.”

Given its performance, “One of the Girls” could soon match or even surpass that milestone. Released in June 2023, “One of the Girls” gained momentum months after its release, becoming a viral sensation. Fronted by The Weeknd and featuring actor Lily-Rose Depp, the song was created for the HBO show “The Idol,” in which all three musicians starred. Since then, it has been steadily debuting on various Billboard charts and making its way up the rankings.
